LEONARDO Portrait of Mona Lisa, nicknamed Gioconda, 153-156. Wood, 77 x 53 cm. The model, presumably, is a wife of Florentine Francesco del Giocondo. The pattern is sheared off at the edges because of what the columns framing a window were lost (on a parapet their round bases are slightly visible). To the French king INV got apprx. 1519. 774 (MN)
